Tasting Notes
Fruit was harvested in mid-October and captured the warmth of the season showing sage, kalamata olive and dark violet fruit flavors. Only 50% of this fermentation was whole cluster and as a result the wine has firm tannins and a darker fruit profile than the 2019 vintage.
About the Vineyard
The beauty of the Eola Springs Vineyard is that its size provides an expansive range of soils, elevations, and aspects. This young field blend block of Cabernet Franc is grown on a northwest-facing slope on ancient marine sedimentary soils at the northern end of the site. The vines are planted at nearly twice the density of the old vine block, and to three clones of Cabernet Franc. Steiner, a California Heirloom selection, 214 & 327 selections from the Loire Valley.
About the Winemaker
Together Bree and Chad founded Constant Crush, helping with vineyard and winery development, low-intervention wine-making consulting, and establishment of rare grape varieties. With Ltd. +, we get to taste the proverbial fruits of their labors in their own wines! Each label has the ingredients listed: Dry-farmed grapes, sulfur, all the farming and winemaking is low-intervention, indigenous yeasts, basically they take really beautifully farmed fruit and make delicious wines.
Shipping Details
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at 10am in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 18 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value!
At $18, we have some of the most competitive shipping rates compared to other low-intervention wine e-commerce, which can range from $20-$25 a box. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. As a small business, we are simply unable to offer free shipping. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
