PERFECT for your Valentine's day dinner (pair with any heavy baked chickens, hams, or pork loins. This light, fruit-forward wine won't weigh you down and compliment's leaner meats.)

Equal blend between whole cluster Zinfandel & Gamay with extended maceration. This wine delivers the fruit forward juiciness you would expect from a Gamay blend, but offers a complex backbone with hints of pepper and tobacco. This wine comes Highly recommended by industry folks for the holiday season and I completely agree. Maybe the Perfect wine.

About the Winemaker

Michael Croom - "After graduating with a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in New York, I moved back to my home state of California and danced between kitchens and wine cellars until I decided to commit to my love for wine. My partner and I picked up in the spring of 2014 and moved to New Zealand to follow the harvest. After being there for 6 months, my partner had an amazing career opportunity in Los Angeles so we moved back to the States.

I worked in wine shops such as Bar and Garden, and Esters Wine Shop, as well as wine-centric restaurants like Sotto where I had amazing exposure to producers from all over the world who were focusing on minimal-intervention techniques, which was the real shaping of my ethos as a winemaker. After my wife and I found out we were pregnant with our second child, we decided to leave Los Angeles for greener pastures, and to balance each of our passions in Portland, Oregon.

In my first years as a winemaker, I am focusing on sourcing grapes from organic, sustainable vineyards, and working to add and remove as little as possible during its life in the cellar in an effort to create as honest of product as possible. It is a humbling journey that I would love to share with you. Feel free to reach out with any comments, questions, or feedback.

Shipping Details

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at 10am in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 18 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value!

At $18, we have some of the most competitive shipping rates compared to other low-intervention wine e-commerce, which can range from $20-$25 a box. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. As a small business, we are simply unable to offer free shipping. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
