Origin: Willamette Valley, Oregon
USNW Classification: Natural
Varietal & Type: 100% Pinot Gris
Andrew absolutely nails anything Oregon Pinot Gris. This Direct Press Sur Lie is no exception. Mind you, it has been over 80 degrees for quite some time here in TX, but if you're looking for a little reminder that warmer days are coming, this will do the trick. A slight minerality on the palate, with lemon peel and bright acidity, with just a liiiiiiiittle bit of crunch.
Whole cluster, pressed directly on stems. Spontaneous and malolactic fermentation. Wine was on gross lees until bottling, racked/ blended into stainless steel, unfined & unfiltered.

About the Winemaker
Website & Instagram
Andrew Reginald Young left behind a career as a New Orleans rock drummer in 2012 to make low-intervention natural wine from cooler climate vineyard sites in the Willamette Valley. He works with a lot of carbonic maceration to keep the wines light, all fermented with native yeasts and minimal intervention in the winery. The name of the winery is an amalgamation on his middle name, Reginald, and his neighborhood growing up in New Orleans, St Tammany Parish.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at 10am in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 18 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value!
At $18, we have some of the most competitive shipping rates compared to other low-intervention wine e-commerce, which can range from $20-$25 a box. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. As a small business, we are simply unable to offer free shipping. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
