100% Cab Franc. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented using native yeasts, half in oak and half in concrete. Bottled after 6 months of aging on the lees in concrete and oak. Unfined, unfiltered with no added SO2.

Dark, ruby red and cloudy in the glass. On the nose: licorice, barbecue smoke and black cherry. The texture starts off pretty and delicate, with dark, underripe berries dominating the palate, but moves into something bigger, more bitter and lush. With a peppery, herbaceous finish and some light tannin.

About the Winemaker

Nicolas Reau along with his wine writer and winegrower wife, Sylvie Augereau are pioneers of the natural wine movement in the Loire Valley. In 1998 Nicolas took over a 28 hectare estate in Anjou and began immediately revitalizing the vineyards. He kept only 5 of the original hectares of vineyards and replanted 2 other hectares. He is passionate about biodynamics, organics [certified] and low intervention methods in the vineyard and cellar.

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at 10am in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 18 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value!

At $18, we have some of the most competitive shipping rates compared to other low-intervention wine e-commerce, which can range from $20-$25 a box.
