Women have always made wine, but they're still underrepresented on the production side. We want to change that, so this shelf puts a spotlight on the women out there farming, fermenting and breaking the mold, from California to Lebanon to the Midwest.
Where to start: Ashanta's Methusulah is ancient-vine Grenache, Carignan and País, and the Miyakma Cabernet Sauvignon is one for a slow night. Mersel's Love Letter Red 2024 is a light, juicy Lebanese Cinsault. From Greece, Kalogris' Mrs Poulia is Moschofilero and Kontozisis' Innocent Dove is a Xinomavro and Merlot red. And American Wine Project out of Wisconsin is doing wild things with cold-hardy hybrid grapes: try Sympathetic Magic Marquette or Rivals LaCrosse.
Not sure which one? Pick by color, then by mood. Every bottle here is a great excuse to try someone new.
