Extraordinary wine from lesser known and used grape varietal Pineau d'Aunis. I am really happy we do mostly ecommerce so I do not have to butcher the pronunciation. These varietals are know for their mixture of white peppercorn and red/black forest fruits. It is a beautiful representation of just that and is stunning in the glass with its beautiful ruby hue.
Made using two different varieties of Pineau d'Aunis bought in from outside of his Clos Roche Blanche domaine - the grapes here coming from Domaine de Cambalu in neigbouring Francueil. The grapes undergo a 6-day maceration and the wine is completed in tank, keeping the delicate fruit impeccably fresh.

About the Winemaker & Farm
Laurent Saillard, born and raised in France, spent his formative years in New York as a chef. Missing his mother land, he moved back to his roots in France and settled in the tiny and active wine village of Pouillé in the Loire, where he worked with Clos Roche Blanche and Noëlla Morantin. And that is how I met Laurent Saillard. When Catherine and Didier of Clos Roche Blanche retired in 2015, Laurent Saillard was offered to purchase half of the Clos Roche Blanche vineyard. He jumped at the offer.
Shipping Details
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at 10am in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 18 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value!
At $18, we have some of the most competitive shipping rates compared to other low-intervention wine e-commerce, which can range from $20-$25 a box. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. As a small business, we are simply unable to offer free shipping. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
