About the Winemaker
Weingut Strehn is a family winery in Burgenland, Austria, now in its fourth generation under the leadership of Stefan Strehn.
The estate, located in the village of Deutschkreutz, specializes in Blaufränkisch—Austria's signature red variety. Stefan took over the winery in 2014 and has been gradually converting to organic and biodynamic practices, joining the natural wine movement while honoring generations of family winemaking tradition.
Farming & Cellar: The estate is in conversion to certified organic and biodynamic viticulture. Wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts, aged in traditional large oak casks, and bottled with minimal intervention. Their Blaufränkisch shows the elegant, peppery character that Mittelburgenland is known for.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!
At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
