About the Winemaker
Bardos Cider is the creation of Colin Blackshear and Aaron Brown, crafting wild-fermented ciders from forgotten Texas orchards since 2019.
Colin and Aaron build their production—now over 150 barrels annually—by gleaning fruit from abandoned, forgotten, and derelict orchards dating to the late 1800s and early 1900s. These trees have survived decades on only winter rains, producing fruit of remarkable intensity. Their work has connected them deeply to the history and land of Texas.
Farming & Cellar: Bardos works exclusively with fruit from dry-farmed heritage trees, some over 100 years old. All ciders are wild-fermented with native yeast, unfined, unfiltered, and bottled with minimal intervention—letting the wisdom of these elder orchards speak for itself.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!
At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
