About the Winemaker

Laurent Saillard is a natural winemaker based in Monthou-sur-Cher in the Loire Valley, where he creates some of the region's most celebrated minimal-intervention wines.

Originally from the Loire, Laurent worked for years in the New York City restaurant industry before returning to France to pursue winemaking. He was mentored by Noella Morantin and has built a reputation for wines of remarkable purity and energy, working with varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Côt (Malbec), and Gamay.

Farming & Cellar: Laurent farms organically and uses biodynamic preparations, hand-harvesting all fruit. Wines are fermented with native yeasts in various vessels including clay amphora, aged without new oak, and bottled with minimal or zero sulfites—unfined and unfiltered.

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!

At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
