Cab Franc Rose Pet-Nat
Cab Franc Rose Pet-Nat
Andrew Jones' Field Recordings Pét-Nat Rosé 2021 is made from Cabernet Franc sourced from vineyards in Paso Robles. The grapes were crushed and left on the skins for only six hours, then pressed to stainless steel tanks. The wine was fermented cold to slow fermentation and add to the wines complexity, then bottled before fermentation was complete to get just the right amount of sparkle. This wine is beautifully dry with rhubarb and strawberry notes, slightly cloudy and immensely fizzy.

About the Winemaker
Field Recordings is the winemaking project of Andrew Jones, operating from Paso Robles, California, where he creates diverse wines from old vines throughout the Central Coast.
Andrew's career in wine began as a fieldman for one of California's largest vine nurseries, giving him intimate knowledge of obscure old vineyards throughout the state. This unique perspective shapes his approach—sourcing from heritage sites that most winemakers overlook. The winery now produces approximately 50,000 cases annually.
Farming & Cellar: Field Recordings celebrates California's vineyard diversity, working with over 20 grape varieties from sites ranging from Mendocino to Santa Barbara. Andrew's 'Fiction' line pushes into experimental territory with low-intervention methods, while maintaining accessibility and value across all tiers.
