Winemaker Notes: Tasty Languedoc Carignan with good structure. Inky vibes and tingly tannins. Blueberry, tar, leather. Lay this down to age or enjoy now with a nice steak dinner

About the Winemaker

Peira Lavada, meaning "Raised Stones" in Occitan, is a natural wine project in the Languedoc region of southern France. The name reflects the ancient tradition of building stone walls in the vineyards that define this dramatic Mediterranean landscape.

Founded by Alexandre Durand, Peira Lavada works with old-vine parcels scattered across the varied terroirs of the Languedoc. Alexandre's approach combines deep respect for traditional viticulture with the energy and experimentation that characterizes the new generation of French natural winemakers.

Farming & Cellar: The vineyards are farmed organically, planted on a complex mix of schist, marble, and limestone soils that contribute to the wines' distinctive mineral character. Alexandre practices minimal intervention winemaking—spontaneous fermentation, no fining or filtration, and minimal to zero sulfites.

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!

At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
