Named after his grandmother Ruth, Evan Lewandowski began making wine in 2011 after years working in restaurants and wine retail. Originally from Chicago, he settled in Utah to pursue his winemaking vision, sourcing grapes primarily from California's Lodi region and Sierra Foothills. Evan's philosophy centers on "farming the wine"—meaning the real winemaking happens in the vineyard, not the cellar. His wines have been praised for their soulful character and ability to express both place and the winemaker's humble, hands-off approach.

Farming & Cellar: Evan works exclusively with sustainably and organically farmed vineyards, often sourcing from old-vine sites that reflect California's diverse terroir. In the cellar, he employs minimal intervention techniques: native yeast fermentations, no fining or filtration, and judicious use of sulfur only when necessary. The focus is always on preserving the integrity of the fruit and allowing each wine to tell its own story with minimal manipulation.
