About the Winemaker
François Séhédic is a third-generation cider producer in Brittany, France, carrying on a family tradition that dates back to 1950. Located in the heart of Cornouaille, the estate specializes in organic cidre and pommeau crafted from over 30 heirloom apple varieties.
François Séhédic inherited his passion for cider-making from his grandfather, who planted the family's first orchards in the mid-20th century. He has expanded the collection to include more than 30 traditional Breton apple varieties, many of which were nearly extinct. His dedication to preserving heritage varieties has made him a guardian of Brittany's cider heritage.
Farming & Cellar: The orchards are farmed organically, with no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. François practices traditional orchard management, allowing the trees to grow at their natural pace. Apples are hand-harvested and pressed in small batches. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in oak casks, and the ciders are bottled unfined and unfiltered with no added sulfites.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!
At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
