About the Winemaker
Bodega Bresesti is a family winery in Uruguay, founded in 1937 by Italian immigrants who brought their winemaking traditions to South America. Now in its fourth generation, the estate continues to honor its heritage while embracing modern natural winemaking practices.
The Bresesti family has cultivated vines in Uruguay for nearly a century, with each generation adding to the knowledge and stewardship of their land. The current generation combines respect for traditional techniques passed down from their Italian ancestors with a contemporary understanding of terroir-driven winemaking.
Farming & Cellar: The vineyards benefit from Uruguay's unique climate, moderated by Atlantic breezes and the Río de la Plata. Sustainable farming practices maintain the health of vines planted decades ago. In the cellar, winemaking follows family traditions with minimal intervention—native yeast fermentation, gentle handling, and careful aging to produce wines that reflect both their Italian roots and Uruguayan terroir.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
