About the Winemaker
Old Westminster Winery is a family winery and farm in Westminster, Maryland, founded in 2010 by siblings Ashli Johnson, Drew Baker, and Lisa Hinton. Named a finalist for Wine Enthusiast's 'American Winery of the Year' and featured by VinePair, Cosmopolitan, and Eater DC, the estate has become one of the most acclaimed wineries on the East Coast.
The three siblings founded Old Westminster with a shared vision: to steward the land, craft compelling Maryland wines, create meaningful jobs, and give back to their community. Located in Carroll County's rolling hills, the winery has evolved into a full farm dining destination, with Chef Tae Strain (whose background spans acclaimed kitchens in Baltimore, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.) leading the food program.
Farming & Cellar: Old Westminster is committed to terroir-driven wines from Maryland-grown fruit, working to showcase what's possible in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The team crafts site-specific wines with finesse and complexity, believing each bottle should reflect its maker's passion and creativity. The estate embraces seasonal rhythms, local sourcing, and collaboration with regional farmers and producers to create wines that put Maryland on the map.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!
At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!Â
