About the Winemaker
Elisa Guérin is a fourth-generation winemaker who returned to her family estate in Moulin-à-Vent, Beaujolais in 2018 to craft wines that showcase how noble Gamay can be.
Raised alongside childhood friends Ophélie Dutraive and Alex Foillard—children of legendary natural wine producers—Elisa always knew she would return to her family's terroir. After studying agronomy in Dijon and working as a buyer of local products for Parisian chefs, she took over 4.2 hectares in Moulin-à-Vent, including the prized 'Les Thorins' parcel that was once the namesake of the appellation.
Farming & Cellar: Elisa began the organic transition in 2019, including horse-plowed steep slopes in Chiroubles. Her wines—from joyous early-drinking bottles full of violet and cherry to intense, ageworthy cuvées with notes of undergrowth and black tea—represent a fresh vision for one of Beaujolais' most Burgundian terroirs.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
