Winemaker Notes: Fortuna is an uncommon Trebbiano "“ or rather, genuinely typical in its loyalty to tradition "“ complex and structured, at the same time fresh and enjoyable. A white wine to pair with anything from the sea.

About the Winemaker

Agricola Caprera is a biodynamic winery in Pietranico, Abruzzo, Italy, founded in 2012 by childhood friends Luca Paolo Virgilio and Alfonso Morelli.

With no family tradition in farming or formal oenological studies, Luca Paolo and Alfonso fell in love with a remote, forested corner of Abruzzo and built a farm from nothing. Inspired by Emidio Pepe and Francesco Guccione, they sourced vine material from the Pepe family, planting Trebbiano Abruzzese and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. On 22 windswept hectares at the foot of the Gran Sasso and Majella mountains, they produce around 4,000 bottles annually.

Farming & Cellar: Certified organic and biodynamic, Agricola Caprera hand-harvests and crushes grapes in ancient stone vats called 'le vasche.' Wines ferment spontaneously with no oak, no heavy manipulation, and minimal sulfur. The result is mountain wines of profound clarity—clean yet intensely proud expressions of Abruzzo's wild terroir.

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!

At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
