About the Winemaker
Domaine Goepp, established in 1950 in Alsace, France, is now guided by brothers Clément and Sylvain Goepp, third-generation vignerons committed to preserving family heritage while embracing organic and natural winemaking.
The Goepp brothers represent a growing movement in Alsace to preserve traditions and terroir naturally. Taking over the family estate, they achieved full organic certification in 2020 while maintaining the domaine's beautiful Grand Cru plots across Barr, Bernardswiller, and Heiligenstein at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile, working with 30 to 60-year-old vines on clay-limestone soils.
Farming & Cellar: Certified organic since 2020, the brothers eschew additives to preserve grape purity from their mosaic of Alsatian varietals—Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Pinot Noir, and the rare Klevener de Heiligenstein. Their cellar blends tradition and modernity: shiny stainless steel tanks sit beside ornately engraved traditional foudres, some dating back a hundred years, for wines fermented with native yeasts.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
