About the Winemaker
Vino La Joda is a natural wine project in Chile's Aconcagua region, founded in 2016 by Jorge and Daniela. The playful name, which roughly translates to 'The Joke Wine,' belies the serious dedication to crafting authentic, minimal-intervention wines from Chilean terroir.
Jorge and Daniela launched Vino La Joda as a passion project, working with fruit from small, sustainably farmed plots in the diverse microclimates of the Aconcagua Valley. Their wines showcase Chile's potential for producing fresh, vibrant natural wines outside the conventional winemaking mainstream.
Farming & Cellar: Grapes are sourced from vineyards farmed without synthetic chemicals, often from old vines planted by previous generations. In the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts, and wines see minimal sulfur or none at all. The focus is on capturing the bright, expressive fruit character of Chilean varieties through gentle handling and patience.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!
At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
