Pipeño Tinto Pais, 1L
Winemaker Notes: Made from 100% País, the juicy and Gamay-like grape of Chile. Manuel Maravilla owns a small 4 hectare estate in this cooler region of Yumbel. Pipeño was traditionally enjoyed by the farmers directly from the "Pip" or pipe. With its easy-drinking nature and pure red fruit flavors, this Liter sized bottle is ideal for your next dinner or party. Serve lightly chilled.

About the Winemaker
Cacique Maravilla is the project of Manuel Moraga Gutiérrez in the Bío Bío Valley of Chile's remote southern wine regions. The estate is centered on ancient País vines, some over 250 years old, that were planted by Spanish missionaries and have survived untouched by phylloxera.
Manuel Moraga is a visionary winemaker who has dedicated his career to rescuing Chile's forgotten País grape from extinction. Before starting Cacique Maravilla, he worked at prestigious estates but became passionate about preserving the heritage vines of southern Chile. His work has been instrumental in the renaissance of País as a serious wine grape.
Farming & Cellar: The ancient bush-trained vines are farmed organically without irrigation, relying on Chile's natural rainfall. Many vines are ungrafted pre-phylloxera survivors. In the cellar, Manuel ferments with wild yeasts in traditional rauli (native beech) wood vats. No sulfur is added, and wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve their authentic character.
