About the Winemaker
Sergio Drago is a Sicilian natural winemaker based in the Catania province, crafting wines from native varieties in the shadow of Mount Etna. His project represents a new wave of artisanal Sicilian winemaking, focusing on authentic expression of indigenous grapes.
Sergio trained under the legendary Alessandro Viola, one of Sicily's most respected natural wine pioneers, before establishing his own label. Working with traditional Sicilian varieties, he produces around 4,000 bottles total per year—an intentionally small production that allows meticulous attention to each wine.
Farming & Cellar: Sergio practices organic farming in his family vineyards, respecting the volcanic terroir of eastern Sicily. In the cellar, he follows minimal intervention principles learned from his mentor, using indigenous yeasts, extended macerations, and bottling without filtration or added sulfites.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!
At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
