About the Winemaker

Podere Sottoilnoce is a family estate in Castelvetro di Modena, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, founded by Max Brondolo.

Max Brondolo focuses on producing authentic Lambrusco Grasparossa from the hills of Castelvetro. The estate takes its name from the walnut trees (noce) that shade the property. Working with traditional local varieties, Max has gained recognition for creating wines that capture the true character of this historic region.

Farming & Cellar: The estate has practiced biodynamic farming since 2016, working the vineyards by hand with minimal intervention. Wines are made using indigenous yeasts, extended maceration, and bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfites to preserve the vibrant, authentic character of the grapes.

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!

At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
