About the Winemaker
Cormorant Cellars is the project of Charlie Gilmore, crafting minimal-intervention wines in Healdsburg, Sonoma County, California since 2018.
Charlie spent roughly twenty years working in California cellars before founding Cormorant with a single conviction: simplicity makes the best wines. He focuses on creating Old World-styled California whites with traditional sur lie aging, sourcing exclusively from certified organic vineyards in Sonoma, Monterey, Santa Cruz Mountains, and El Dorado.
Farming & Cellar: All Cormorant wines are 100% vineyard-sourced from organic growers. Charlie uses mainly seven-year-old French barrels without pumping, freezing, or mechanical manipulation. Wines are native-yeast fermented, unfined, and unfiltered—each bottle contains a tiny bit of sediment as a testament to the hands-off approach.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!
At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
