About the Winemaker
Monument Wine Company is a small winery project in Portland, Oregon, founded by Tyler Magyar after years of selling wine in retail shops and moonlighting in friends' wineries, including time alongside Andy Young of The Marigny.
Tyler's approach is simple: make honest, thoughtful wines without adornment or cut corners. The most important thing is that the wines are sincere—from the vineyard sources and vinification process to the label aesthetic and the people he chooses to work with. His eloquent label descriptions reflect a deeply personal connection to the craft and the community supporting it.
Farming & Cellar: Monument sources fruit from across Oregon—Applegate Valley, Willamette Valley, and the Columbia Gorge—working with sustainable farming partners. Grapes are crushed by foot with daily pigéage, fermented from native yeasts only, then aged in old neutral oak before settling in tank and resting in bottle. Wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered, capturing the true character of each site.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!
At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
