"Intensely aromatic, this amaro from Capelletti infuses herbs, macerated flowers, and roots into wine and adds a touch of sweetness from tree sap. The bitterness and complex flavors linger long after your first sip. Drink after a meal." If you're an amaro-head, you might have found a grail bottle in this unique vino amaro from Cappelletti.

About the Winemaker

Cappelletti, producer of Elisir Novasalus, is a historic Alto Adige aperitivo house founded in 1906 in Aldeno, near Trento. The company is best known for its Aperitivo Americano and the traditional Vino Amaro "Sforzato," recipes that have been passed down through four generations.

The Cappelletti family has been crafting bitters, aperitivos, and fortified wines for over a century in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. Their recipes incorporate alpine herbs and botanicals from the surrounding Dolomites. The fourth generation continues to produce these traditional drinks using original family formulations and local ingredients.

Farming & Cellar: Cappelletti sources herbs and botanicals from the alpine meadows of Trentino, combined with wines from local vineyards. Their production follows traditional maceration and infusion techniques refined over four generations. The Vino Amaro and aperitivos are crafted in small batches using copper stills and extended aging to develop complexity.
