About the Winemaker
Viña Casalibre is the natural wine project of Fred Skwara, based in Santiago, Chile, dedicated to showing the world a different side of Chilean winemaking.
Fred founded Casalibre after winemaking projects across the globe brought him back to his home country. Inspired by a sommelier's dismissive comment about Chilean wines lacking personality, he set out to prove that Chile could produce wines that surprise and excite—authentic, terroir-driven wines with soul.
Farming & Cellar: Casalibre works exclusively with organic growers across Chile's diverse valleys, from Itata to Maipo to Curicó. The 'De Otro Planeta' line features amphora fermentation with zero sulfites. Fred uses native yeasts, minimal intervention, and no fining or filtration to let origin and fruit speak for themselves.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!
