About the Winemaker
Finca Suarez is a family estate in Paraje Altamira, within Argentina's renowned Uco Valley. The Suarez family has been farming this land since 1921, with four generations working the high-altitude vineyards that sit at over 1,100 meters elevation in the shadow of the Andes.
The Suarez family's century-long commitment to viticulture in Mendoza predates the modern wine boom. They have witnessed the transformation of Paraje Altamira from an unknown area to one of Argentina's most prestigious sub-regions. Today's generation combines traditional knowledge with contemporary natural winemaking techniques.
Farming & Cellar: Finca Suarez farms organically at high altitude, where the intense UV exposure and cool nights naturally protect the vines. Vineyards are irrigated by ancient Andean snowmelt channels. In the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts, and wines are aged in concrete and neutral oak. Minimal sulfur is added, and wines are bottled unfined.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!
At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
