About the Winemaker

Local Customs Wine Growers is a small-batch winemaking collective from Texas Hill Country, founded by winemaker Travis Elliott alongside farmers Cole Harper and Garrett Strickler of Precision Viticulture. Their mission is to keep wine production firmly rooted in Central Texas—from soil to glass.

Travis Elliott gained experience producing seven vintages from Hill Country vineyards during his tenure at Austin Winery from 2016 to 2022. Post-harvest discussions with Cole and Garrett over bottles at Mandola Estate led them to create a collective that closes the gap between Texas farmers and producers, focusing on grape quality over quantity with farmers paid for excellence rather than tonnage.

Farming & Cellar: Working with sites like Salt Lick vineyards in Driftwood and D2 Farms in Wimberley, the team often uses organic practices to revitalize plots. With faster ripening cycles due to a warmer climate, they pick fruit earlier to capture freshness. Their rosé blends Sangiovese's structure and acidity with Mourvèdre's juicy richness. Wines are crafted with minimal intervention, bottled in small lots of 90–140 cases.

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!

At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
