Winemaker Notes: Magneto is a cuvée of 70% Grenache Noir and 30% Macabeo, macerated for five days in whole bunches together in fiber tanks and matured over 8 months in tanks. The grapes are from 40-year-old parcels around Tautavel, grown on marl and slate. With the Macabeo in the mix this is an incredible fruity and vibrant wine at the start. Beautiful nose of black currants, cherries and cranberrie

About the Winemaker

Recerca (meaning "research" in Catalan) is a natural wine project in Roussillon, France, founded in 2018 by Jessica and Laurent. The winery is based in the village of Paziols, where they work with about 10 hectares of their own vineyards in the dramatic landscape of Tautavel.

Jessica and Laurent previously ran the successful négoce project Zulu, collaborating with growers throughout Roussillon. With Recerca, they focused their efforts on their own land, planting primarily Grenache and Macabeu—the native heart of Catalan winemaking—with small amounts of Mourvèdre and Syrah.

Farming & Cellar: The vineyards are farmed organically on calcareous clay and schist soils. In the cellar, they work entirely naturally: no destemming, spontaneous fermentation, and no chemicals in either vineyard or winery. Their approach embraces Catalan tradition while experimenting with different techniques to highlight each grape variety's character.

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!

At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
