About the Winemaker
Domaine Les Lampyres is the creation of François-Xavier Dauré, a 4th-generation vigneron working in Espira de l'Agly in Roussillon, France.
François-Xavier learned his craft working alongside Tom Lubbe at Domaine Matassa before establishing his own domain. The name 'Lampyres' refers to the fireflies that illuminate his vineyards on summer nights.
Farming & Cellar: Certified organic since 2015, with biodynamic practices. Hand harvesting, native yeast, whole cluster fermentation when appropriate, and minimal sulfites at bottling.
