About the Winemaker

Le Nadir is a micro-domaine in the south-Saumurois of the Loire Valley, founded in 2019 by Fabien Perréard, where zero-addition Chenin Blanc and Grolleau express pure terroir with remarkable tension.

Fabien Perréard's path to winemaking was unconventional—after years as a graphic designer traveling the world and living in Paraguay, Brazil, and Spain, he was drawn to the artisanal natural wine scene of Anjou. Arriving in Saumur in 2018 to apprentice under the appellation's finest vignerons, he acquired his own 2 hectares of vines in 2020 to establish Le Nadir.

Farming & Cellar: Working almost entirely alone on organic vineyards across two distinct terroirs in Forges and Brossay, Fabien makes no additions whatsoever—no sulfites, no fining, no filtration. Wines ferment spontaneously and age in old barrels within Côme Isambert's tuffeau cave in Saumur, resulting in distinctive low-alcohol wines of remarkable purity.
