About the Winemaker

Dexheimer is the personal wine project of Max Dexheimer, a fifth-generation winemaker from Saulheim in Rheinhessen, Germany. Growing up in the family winery Walldorf-Pfaffenhof, Max learned early that great wines begin in the vineyard.

Today, Dexheimer is Max's own expression of his heritage—focused on vibrant, low-intervention wines that reflect the character of Rheinhessen's limestone-rich soils and each individual vintage. His goal is not to create a style, but to capture a place and a moment in time. Every bottle tells the story of the vineyard, the vintage, and the people behind it.

Farming & Cellar: Max works with estate vineyards on the limestone-rich soils of Saulheim, farming with attention to soil health and vine balance. The wines are fermented naturally with native yeasts, handled with patience, and bottled with as little intervention as possible. The result is wines with intensity and concentration that come from the terroir itself, not from oak or manipulation.

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!

At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
