A textured, focused expression of Brianna, with notes of citrus peel, bergamot, flint and ripe guava. This vintage of Summer Land could be classified as an orange wine! The grapes were fermented on skins to help them break down before they were pressed in a manual basket press. Hybrid grapes tend not to hang on to tannin. So, while there is some structure to this wine, it doesn't come across as astringent. The tropical flavors are the star here, and are backed up with a rich texture from barrel

About the Winemaker
American Wine Project produces minimal-intervention natural wines from locally grown hybrid grapes in the Driftless region of Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Led by winemaker Erin, the project champions cold-climate American grape varieties like Brianna, LaCrescent, and Marquette. Their tasting room and gardens in Mineral Point, Wisconsin offer a unique wine country experience.
Farming & Cellar: All wines are native yeast fermented, unfined, unfiltered, and aged in neutral barrels. Grapes are sourced from sustainable family vineyards across the Driftless region.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
