Marto Crazy Crazy is a natural, sparkling wine from Rheinhessen, Germany, crafted from a blend of Huxelrebe, Müller-Thurgau, and Würzer grapes. The wine is made using organic vineyards with some biodynamic practices, and undergoes whole-bunch maceration for seven days with no added sulfites, resulting in an unfiltered, unfined wine. It boasts tropical flavors of pineapple, lychee, and wild honey, a juicy mouthfeel, and a distinct mineral edge. This unique wine is the creation of winemaker Martin Wörner and his partner Alanna.

About the Winemaker

Marto Wines was founded by Martin “Marto” Wörner, who began his solo winemaking journey in 2016 after working with renowned winemakers in France. With a background in farming, Marto transformed an old, dilapidated cellar beneath his family home in Rheinhessen, Germany, into his winery, producing natural wines that challenged the region’s traditional, industrial approach. Initially focused on aromatic hybrid grapes, Marto’s wines, like his “Weiss,” became emblematic of the natural wine movement in the area, using minimal intervention and showcasing wild, expressive flavors. Over time, Marto expanded his vineyard, replanting with more traditional varieties like Pinot Noir and Riesling, while drawing inspiration from Alsace and Burgundy to refine his style. Today, Marto Wines is recognized for its unique, authentic approach, influenced by a combination of his own vision and his partner Alanna Lagamba’s expertise.

Shipping Details

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at 10am in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 18 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value!

At $18, we have some of the most competitive shipping rates compared to other low-intervention wine e-commerce, which can range from $20-$25 a box. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. As a small business, we are simply unable to offer free shipping.
