Plēb Urban Winery is a production winery in Asheville, North Carolina's River Arts District, co-founded in 2017 by Chris Denesha and Lauren Turpin.
Featured in Punch Drink, Plēb shows what domestic wine could look like if it grew from local abundance. They farm 7 acres using organic and biodynamic practices, focusing on hybrids like Seyval Blanc and natives like Catawba.
Farming & Cellar: Minimal intervention winemaking with native yeast fermentation. No synthetic chemicals, vines grown on their own roots. Experimental techniques include shagbark hickory infusions and amphora aging in Appalachian clay.
