About the Winemaker
Kontozisis Organic Vineyards is a pioneering organic winery in Karditsa, Greece, crafting natural wines from indigenous grapes since 1991.
Andreas Kontozisis and Aphrodite Tousia work passionately with the rare Limniona grape, native to Thessaly. Their 140 acres of estate vineyards at the foothills of Mount Agrafa follow strict organic and biodynamic practices.
Farming & Cellar: Certified organic since 1991—one of Greece's first. Only free-run juice, indigenous yeasts, no oenological additives, no filtration. Wines mature in cement eggs, old oak, or clay amphorae.
US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.
