White grapes in the arduous Texas Hill Country environment are hard to come by so when given the chance to produce this field blend from the wonderful Salt Lick we were absolutely ecstatic. Cane pruned and planted to tight spacing - this block is set up exclusively for hand tending. You couldn't get a tractor through even if you wanted to.

About the Winemaker

The Austin Winery, founded in 2014, is the only full-production urban winery in Austin, Texas—and one of the first within city limits—specializing in natural wine from 100% Texas-grown vineyards.

The employee-owned winery has become a pioneer of Texas natural wine, sourcing grapes from the High Plains and Hill Country AVAs and crafting wines that highlight the unique character of Texas terroir. Working with both traditional varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Texas-adapted grapes like Lenoir, the winery bridges natural wine philosophy with conventional craftsmanship to create honest, one-ingredient wines.

Farming & Cellar: All wines are crushed, pressed, fermented, aged, and bottled on-site at The Austin Winery. Many are hand-harvested and foot-crushed, with numerous cuvées made sans soufre (without sulfites) and through native fermentation without added yeast or bacteria. The focus is on small-scale, low-intervention techniques that let Texas terroir speak authentically.

US Natural Wine ships once a week, every Wednesday. All orders should be placed by Tuesday at noon in order to be picked up from our distributors and out on Wednesday's delivery truck.

Shipping cost is 35 bucks a box (up to 12 bottles) so we highly encourage picking up more than 1 bottle for the best value! Remember, all orders over $200 get FREE SHIPPING!

At $35, shipping cost is on par with most wine ecommerce. Ultimately, we eat the cost of shipping more often than not because wine can be damn heavy. We can't thank you enough for your understanding!
