Siletto Grenache Noir
Siletto Grenache Noir
"Two Shepherds planted their Grenache "Austin and Arya" vineyard in 2011, back when folks thought they were crazy for doing so. Grenache is a rarity in the west Russian River, where the cool climate produces a wine of balance and finesse. Named for the two Aussie Shepherds who frolic among the vines everyday (Austin and Arya), this Grenache is planted in narrow 3' x 3' rows, farmed organically, regeneratively, and hand-tended by the winemakers. Native yeast fermented, 10 months in neutral puncheons. Light, delicate, nuanced, a ballet in the glass. Only 144 cases made."

About the Winemaker
Two Shepherds have become the grenache kings of California, said by us. Every year they go as far as throwing a grenache party and have grenache blanc, noir, and gris all on their private property. This is their first vintage of Grencache Noir from Siletto Family Vineyards, but it is executed excellently and is delicious. Lighter expression of Grenche, boarderline rosato in color, despite having all the structure you need to feel whole. Fan favorite.
